Cardiac Health Foundation of Canada ESLM Scholarships

Scholarship Value: $1,500 each
Applications due summer 2013

Fitness & Health Promotion Program

The Cardiac Health Foundation of Canada ESLM Scholarship will be open to a student in their final year of the Fitness & Health Promotion program who has gained acceptance into the Kinesiology Degree program offered at the University Guelph-Humber. The successful applicant must also have demonstrated:

  • strong academic standing (80%+ cumulative average)
  • financial need
  • interest in pursuing a career in health promotion

Preference will be given to a student who has demonstrated past involvement in Cardiac Health Foundation of Canada activities such as the annual Walk of Life, the Heart Wise Exercise Program and other endeavors initiated by the Cardiac Health Foundation of Canada.

Applications are to include:

  • Letter of acceptance into the Kinesiology Degree program offered at Guelph-Humber
  • v
  • 250 word essay explaining their interest in a career in health promotion
  • One letter of reference (academic/placement/employment)

Exercise & Lifestyle Management

The Cardiac Health Foundation of Canada ESLM Scholarship will be open to a student entering the Exercise & Lifestyle Management postgraduate program. The successful applicant must also have demonstrated:

  • Strong academic standing (minimum 80% or ‘A’ cumulative average) in undergraduate degree
  • Financial need
  • Interest in pursuing a career in health promotion
Preference will be given to a student who has demonstrated past involvement in Cardiac Health Foundation of Canada activities such as the annual Walk of Life Walk of Life, the Heart Wise Exercise Program and other endeavors initiated by the Cardiac Health Foundation of Canada.

Applications are to include:

  • 250 word essay explaining their interest in a career in health promotion
  • One letter of reference (academic/extracurricular/employment)
  • Official copy of undergraduate degree transcript
